This was the best Holiday Inn and the best mid-price range hotel I have stayed at over many, many years. It was decorated with modern furniture and furnishings. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The window shade was unique in that it pulled down from the top and unbelievably, shut out early morning light! No more light peeking between curtains that pulled together. A most interesting aspect was that the room key card was needed to insert into a slot that would turn the electricity on for the room. Undoubtedly an improvement to help keep their expenses down. The hotel was conveniently located to major roads and many restaurants were located nearby, The breakfast - a full breakfast with a variety of choices and was a huge hit with the guests I chatted with. The staff were friendly, professional, helpful and courteous to each guest they interacted with. The facility itself was very clean, and well maintained. I did not use the pool; however, my spouse used the exercise room which had a variety of machines to use and she was pleased with the "feel" of the room. I would definitely stay at this hotel when I am next in Grand Rapids and I very highly recommend it to anyone seeking overnight lodgings in that area. I wish I could rate it higher than the number of stars available.

The front desk staff very friendly, professional answered all questions. Lovely place!! Pool very clean.Breakfast very tasty the egg white veggie omelet delicious!! Turkey sausage very good!! Excellent coffee!! Bed comfortable!! Could be a little more firm. Room very well designed Has a board built in on wall to open suitcaeses.Very nice comfortable long chair Great desk with light you touch with thumb with three settings. It gas a safe Nice long mirror on the wall. Great bathroom with huge walk in shower. Nice design on the wall. Huge sink. Very huge room It was an exceptional stay!! Room was very clean!! Just fantadtic.overall!! My favorite hotel in Michigan so far!!

Incredibly comfortable beds and seating. Pillows were perfect. The bathroom was large with a sink area large enough to hold all of my essentials. The large sausage and perfectly done cheese omelet were what I needed for breakfast. The earl grey and English breakfast tea gave me the desired caffeine kick...I can't drink coffee and too many places skimp on the tea. The staff went out of their way when I ended up at the wrong site by finding which location I was supposed to be at. He even went upstairs and got my to go up because I was too exhausted to make one more trip up the stairs.

Breakfast was not very good. They were out of butter, cinnamon rolls, bananas and never any plain coffee creamer. everyone was complaining to the front desk. They told me the orders were not coming. Well, I truly think that falls on the person doing the ordering. OR, get over to Costco or Gordon Foods and pick up what you need for your guests. Especially with the hotel being full on weekends. We were with a lot of people who booked for a wedding in the area. We had options. I stayed at Fairfield Inn several months ago and their breakfast tops Holiday Inn.

My favorite was the Dove soaps for hair, body, hands, etc and the offer for complimentary essentials that may have been forgotten. The breakfast was good for the value of the hotel and included both hot and cold options that I found as adequate for a quick breakfast out the door. Overall I was impressed with the quality for this hotel and would stay here again when in Grand Rapids.
